An award-winning singer/songwriter in his native Canada, Major shines on his sophomore album and first American release. Major's record will appeal to country fans who like the rootsy, rock side of the genre. The vocals, as well as music bear a strong resemblance to Lee Roy Parnell, in the way that it combines blues-based country with infectious upbeat melodies. Strong cuts include the memorable "(I Do It) For the Money," and the slide guitar-driven "I Can See Forever in Your Eyes." Some might remember Major's song "Backroads," which was a number one hit for Ricky Van Shelton.
