AllMusic Review by

Released through the subscription-only CD club run by They Might Be Giants, Eugene Chadbourne's Hello Recording Club EP consists of five tracks with a total running time over 20 minutes. The EP includes two bizarre medleys, one of which splices Roger Miller's "One Dyin' and A-Buryin'" with the actual recording of Toni Basil's "Mickey" overlaid with sound effects. "I Dreamt I Was Young Again" is the standout track, an acoustic ballad from the album Baptist Church that demonstrates Chadbourne's talent at making affecting music even while indulging in surprising flights of fancy on the guitar and adopting silly singing voices. "People Will Vote" and "Another Needle Since" are political songs performed solo with banjo accompaniment.
