A very unique concept album that brings a wide range of Puerto Rican music from decades that date back to the '50s into the 21st century. These covers, sung by 2010s artists, take liberties in their modern production techniques, but otherwise stay faithful to the originals. Standouts on this set include Ileana Mercedes (PG-13 of Calle 13) on "La Pared," former Miss Universe Denise Quinones on "Fugitiva," Willy Rodriguez's version of "Boricua en la Luna," and the duet between Danny Rivera and Chucho Avellanet in their reading of "Tu Pueblo Es Mi Pueblo." Hecho con Sabor a Puerto Rico, which contains songs by everyone from Daniel Santos to Menudo, captures the variety and flavors of Puerto Rican musical history in a unique and very modern way.
