Starpoint seemed ready to explode throughout the 1980s, but were never able to make the final step, although they had club hits and the occasional R&B success. But by 1990, they sounded spent and dispirited, even the usually exciting Renee Diggs. Diggs probably should have left the band before this point, but stayed around and sounded as though she'd lost her fire as well.
