The second installment of the Groove Station series takes the commercial club hits of the past few years, and puts them all together on one convenient disc. While the commercial chart-toppers run amuck here, there are a few notable slower jams interlaced in between the anthems, which could easily double as the soundtrack for the Chris Kattan/Will Ferrell club guys on Saturday Night Live. The inclusion of the Notorious B.I.G.'s "One More Chance" is a bit baffling, and one theory that could easily be applied is that its presence is used to remind people of where Ashanti got the inspiration for her hit, "Foolish." Even more baffling than that, is the trance version of Annie Lennox's normally gorgeous "No More I Love You's," an obvious attempt to generate more sales, and attract a larger fan base that falls flat on its face from the first kick drum. While by no means essential, it is comprehensive, and if the hits are just what you're looking for, you'll find them here.
