Fine Tunes' The Gold Collection is a collection of poorly recorded live performances from Edith Piaf. It's unclear when these performances were recorded or who is in her backing band -- it's simply a muddy, undistinguished collection that will provoke frustration in collectors (who will want good versions of these recordings, as well as documentation of their origin) and the casual fans at whom this budget-priced collection is clearly targeted. Since the music is not exceptional and the sound is subpar, both collectors and casual fans should avoid this disc -- there are much better compilations (even budget-priced compilations) on the market than this.
