AllMusic Review by

GLORY DUB is an un-annotated collection put out by the same small British label that released the two-volume LEE PERRY AND KING TUBBY IN DUB CONFRONTATION. This disc contains dub recordings made by probably the greatest practitioner of the form, Lee "Scratch" Perry, dub's maddest scientist. Perry's tracks are a direct, in-your-face mix of thumping rhythms-almost always provided by his house band The Upsetters, powered by the rhythm section of brothers Carlton and Aston "Family Man" Barrett-and often bizarre sound effects. Despite the uninformative packaging and somewhat irregular sound quality, GLORY DUB is enlightening for fans and novices alike.
