Constructing a mix album out of others' mix albums is a baffling proposition, but Global Underground: Locations does just that. Mixed by the series' own the Forth (previously responsible for Global Underground: Arrivals and Global Underground: Departures), this one also grabs tracks from past editions (devoted to Lee Burridge, John Digweed, Deep Dish, Darren Emerson) with no rhyme and no reason why these tracks couldn't have been taken from the original sources. At least the Forth steers away from high-gloss trance, instead sticking to '90s house.
