AllMusic Review by

The second volume of music featured in HBO's controversial, often hilarious series Girls is another eclectic mix of indie, pop, and R&B, including new tracks from Jenny Lewis ("Completely Not Me"), Lily Allen ("Late Comer"), Christina Perri ("I Don't Wanna Break"), Miguel ("Simplethings"), and Beck ("Blue Moon"). Other highlights include season two standouts such as Vampire Weekend's version of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm Going Down" and Oasis' "Wonderwall," as well as Michael Penn's "Daisy (From One Man's Trash)." While this volume of the soundtrack may not feature a monster hit like Icona Pop's "I Love It," and Allison Williams' version of Edie Brickell & New Bohemians' "What I Am" is sorely missed, Girls, Vol. 2: All Adventurous Women Do… is still a cleverly curated and engaging collection.
