Brazilian pop is often times more bizarre and unique than it is given credit for, and the proof is quite obvious on Fortal 2000. This album is filled with awkward rhythms, weird tempos, boisterous horn parts, and some of the most bizarre vocal stylings around. But that is a big part of the fun involved in this genre, and this album is a wonderful example of some creative approaches to a fairly washed up genre.
