Here we go. For a change, Madacy does it right and pops the Johnny Cash Sun material -- 40 tracks' worth -- into a three-disc box set (yes, it could have fit on two) and lets the punters have at it. The single advantage, perhaps, of purchasing this set over the Columbia one is simply price. The Legacy set has more documentation, and looks better, but it also covers more of Cash's career. This is the material from the early years and is all licensed form Sun Entertainment. So, if material pre-"Boy Named Sue" and "Ring of Fire" are what you're looking for, this may just be the set for you, particularly if you're on a budget. There are plenty of classics here including his first version of "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Get Rhythm."
