The debut album from Koxbox presents the trio working through psychedelic trance before the style had any rules. The pulsing rhythms and digitally precise acid lines are stiff, but the range of ideas on tracks like "Space Interface" and "Point of No Return" belie the formality. Forever After is not only an excellent artifact of the early-'90s trance scene; it's a landmark for much of the trance music that came afterwards.
