AllMusic Review by

This CD contains 10 of the best examples of fine spacemusic that I've heard in a while. This is a seventy-minute collection of melodic, rhythmic, spacious compositions. The overall "feel" of the album is similar to the Vangelis album "China," Cuts like "Dawn," "Forest Call," "Shaku Watch," "Cold May" and the title cut have that majestic, eastern dreamy quality very much like "China." The song "Searching" is one of the CD's highlights, starting with a wonderful breathy Klaus Schulze-sounding Fairlight patch. The piece slowly evolves into an introspective, elated musical journey. Overall, the album is evocative, floating, peaceful and very well-recorded. The choice of timbres for synths used on this album are lush, beautiful sounds rivaling the synth programming of Johannes Schmoelling and Chris Franke. It should appeal to those with a penchant for quiet, beautiful new music. Available from Qua Records, Zilvermeeuwstraat 15, B-8400, Osten, Belgium.
