Flow is the first album by Danish musician Henrik Hytteballe's Haiku project. Originally released in 2009, Flow is a seven-song collection of meditative ambient music. Mixing lush, symphonic synth landscapes with tranquil piano and guitar tones, it's a deep and resonant listen. Throughout the album's 67 minutes, subtle sound effect samples are scattered unobtrusively and tastefully, adding yet another layer to Hytteballe's soothing work. The seven independent pieces are slow to develop, each arriving at its destination gracefully and complementing the next. The album has been picked up by new age label Real Music for this 2014 re-release, which will offer this fine album a chance at some greater exposure.
