AllMusic Review by

It must have seemed a bright idea at first, mixing the Dead with some of the more hallucinatory reggae performers, but the end result is a bit too mediocre to pass muster, with more than a few of the artists indicating almost no knowledge of the Dead in their liner notes -- David Hinds of Steel Pulse gives the strong impression that he only picked "Franklin's Tower" to fulfill a deal and make a few bucks. The performances are competent, the mixes crisp, with Wailing Souls standing out on the opening "Casey Jones" and the Mighty Diamonds turning in a sterling job on "Touch of Grey," but after that it's dullsville.
