BMG Special Products' Everybody's Talkin': The Encore Collection is a fine budget-priced collection that concentrates on Harry Nilsson's soft-rock recordings, such as "Everybody's Talkin'" and "One." Though the shambling version of "Many Rivers to Cross" (taken from the ridiculous Pussy Cats album) is here, much of his weirder stuff is not, including "Jump Into the Fire" and "Coconut." That means Everybody's Talkin' is for budget-minded casual fans who want other songs that sound similar to the title track. Those listeners will likely be satisfied with this enjoyable, if incomplete, compilation.
