Eddie Harris plays tenor, reed trumpet, piano and takes a few vocals on this well-rounded CD. The trio outing with bassist Ralphe Armstrong and drummer Sherman Ferguson starts out with the humorous "Eddie Who?" and has among its highlights "Daahoud," "Softly as in a Morning Sunrise" and "There Was a Time." In general this is a straightahead outing that shows off Eddie Harris's mastery of the bebop vocabulary. Well worth picking up.
