The title of Dropped is Consolidated's belated reaction to London's termination of their contract with the political dance unit, which likely came about because their sample-heavy, metal-inflected hardcore hip-hop not only wasn't selling by the late '90s, but was also sounding a bit dated. Consolidated responded by carrying on as if nothing has changed -- Dropped essentially sounds like anything else the band has recorded. That will satisfy some longtime fans, but it also may leave some quite cold.
