The Searchers recorded over one hundred sides for Pye Records between 1963 and the end of the decade, a handful of which are presented here, including compelling covers of Sonny Bono's "Needles and Pins" and P.F. Sloan's "Take Me for What I'm Worth." Unfortunately some of the group's biggest hits ("Sweets for My Sweet," "Sugar and Spice," "Love Potion No. 9") for Pye are absent, and while what is here is pleasant and bright and full of great harmonies, there are simply much better and more comprehensive anthologies of the Searchers on the market.
