AllMusic Review by

This 30-song collection of recordings from Detroit's Lupine label includes the Primettes' (later to become the Supremes) "Tears of Sorrow," and "Pretty Baby." Wilson Pickett's screams on "I Found a Love" will give you shivers. Falcons members Joe Stubbs and Eddie Floyd both fly solo; Stubbs is impressive on "Part Time Love" and "You Must Know I Love You," but if Floyd's tracks hadn't been labeled, you'd never guess it was Mr. "Knock on Wood," as he approaches a totally different sound. Lupine's crude, unpolished recordings are treasures, and prime cuts like Betty Lavette's "You Killed the Love," and the Ohio Untouchables "I'm Tired" (the group would later become the Ohio Players) are spine tingling.
