Starting as a secretary at Motown Records, Martha Reeves turned opportunity to gold at the label with the Vandellas. Looser and with a freer sound than the Supremes or the other Motown girl groups, Reeves and the Vandellas had two huge, classic, and enduring hits with "Heat Wave" and "Dancing in the Street," both of which still play fresh and dynamic well into the 21st century. This set has both of those songs, and the equally as enduring "Jimmy Mack," along with other key tracks from the era.
