You may not label the members of Crunt as lyrical geniuses, but the music is raw and effective. On a song like "Swine," vocalist/guitarist Stuart Gray belts out the line "Sweet heart, sweet meats" in his ode to pigs. You can almost taste the bacon grease as the guitar sizzles through a primal stomp. Other tracks like "Spam" manage to poke fun at Jimi Hendrix with the lyrics "Hey Joe, where you going with that grease gun in your hand?" Crunt proves that three chords and a childish mentality can be taken a long way. This is simplistic rock & roll that manages to create a fast and memorable hook for anyone within earshot.
