AllMusic Review by

Mimaroglu's first CD retrospective takes in his early years as a member of the Columbia Princeton Electronic Music Center ("Bowery Bum," the sound of a multiplied and treated rubber band), where the focus was on manipulating tape and sound, but also features his jarring compositions for piano ("Rosa" from 1978) and violin ("Music Plus One" from 1970). "Wings of the Delirious Demon" is one of his most overwhelming compositions, with electronic shrieking birds and a gradual tailspin into noisy, hellish chaos. The brief preludes at the end of this CD will please fans of David Lynch, no doubt, with ghostly atmospherics seeping backwards out of the speakers and a final, mysterious voice.
