Patsy Montana was one of the first female country music stars, singing cowboy songs and appearing in many films. Cowboy's Sweetheart gathers some of her biggest hits, but these versions sound like they were recorded after her heyday in the '30s and '40s. They're still well done, with perhaps better fidelity than the originals. Montana was a heck of a yodeler as well, but there are only a handful of yodel tunes included here. A decent collection, but not her finest work.
