AllMusic Review by

Jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong never actually recorded a Christmas album together, although they joined forces for a few tracks in the 1940s and three projects in the 1950s, so this 17-song set isn't exactly what it might first appear to be, which doesn't really take away from its charm. The track sequence alternates holiday songs by Fitzgerald, drawn from her 1960 Christmas album, with holiday songs by Armstrong, most of them recorded in the 1950s, and features the pair together on "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," then adds Armstrong's version of "What a Wonderful World," not actually a Christmas song, but one that certainly fits the spirit of the season.
