AllMusic Review by

The second of two LPs put out by Arcadia in this series has a set of true obscurities. Elmer Kaiser's Ballroom Orchestra from 1924 plays "Monkey Business," the modestly titled "Super Syncopators" jams on four songs, Charley Straight's Orchestra is excellent on two numbers, Husk O'Hare's Footwarmers, the Midnight Serenaders, Bill Haid's Cubs and the Manhattan Entertainers are all heard from and there are previously unknown versions of "China Boy" and "Nobody's Sweetheart" taken from a 1932 jam session that might include pianist Jess Stacy. This set is not essential but fans of early jazz will find it quite interesting.
