Bullet Proof Love, Vol. 1 was created to be introduction to a group of MCs signed to Henchmen Entertainment, an offshoot of Motown records. The album uses the tried-and-true method of mixing in new artists with more established stars such as Memphis Bleek and Prodigy. The new artists, such as Dangerr and Sharissa, are serviceable but are often bogged down by dull, derivative production. The braintrust at Henchmen did a good job of putting together a list of established stars for Bulletproof Love. Unfortunately, they fail to achieve the album's real goal of showcasing their new talent, many of whom do not seem ready for the big time.
