Melding together space rock and late-'60s psychedelic pop, the Good Friday Experiment presents six tracks of lazy, dreamy soundscapes. Soft vocals, tremolo'd guitar, and enough organ use -- particularly on "Yes, Should You Need Us" -- highlights the band's fandom of Pink Floyd. Then again, points go to any band who takes a song title from a line of dialogue from the Jim Henson/David Bowie flick Labyrinth. At some points, all the songs need is the pointed use of a steel guitar and one would somehow wind up with a Xerox of a Friends of Dean Martinez recording. Fun chill-out music.
