AllMusic Review by

Packaged together in a four-disc box set for no particular reason are three randomly selected albums from singer/songwriter and guitarist Ben Harper's catalog set in reverse order. The first is the musically sprawling double album Both Sides of the Gun, his seventh album from 2006, followed by 2003's Diamonds on the Inside. It featured guests including former NRBQ guitarist Al Anderson, Greg Leisz, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and trumpeter Ron Blake. Also included is Harper's third album, 1999's killer Burn to Shine with the Innocent Criminals -- a band that was all-too short-lived for all of its musical possibilities. This set will appeal to fans, but given that they more than likely have this material, its release is curious.
