AllMusic Review by

Canadian electro duo Azari & III (and that's pronounced "third," as in DJs Dinamo Azari and Alixander III) put their own unique spin on the mix album format with their entry in the Get Physical label's Body Language series. Put this one on at a party and it is best to warn the bartender once Gazelle Twin's "Heartbeat" or some of the other soft numbers roll around since the dancefloor will be left beatless. On the other hand, grab the headphones and consider this an audio reproduction of some radio dial flipping in an alternative universe where all the stations have impeccable taste when it comes to techno, electro, and industrial, and the joy begins. Sometimes, jarring sound effects bridge the tracks, chucking the strange, blooping techno-house of Shed for the sci-fi disco of Locked Groove, but all the swerves come off as purposeful, and being so disjointed actually serves this kaleidoscopic set well on repeat listens. Azari mixes the first bit while III takes the second, and there are four new cuts from the crew mixed in, all of them strong enough to sit well with highlights from Electric Mistress and Robert Hood via his Tommy Four Seven remix. Strange and bumpy are what Azari & III aim for, and they nail it.
