AllMusic Review by

Bird Songs of the Amazon Rain Forest features field recordings of the region's native songbirds, with and without accompanying music. "Aves Da Floesta Amazonica," "Aves Do Planalto Central," and "Aves das Floresta Do Sul" present the recordings as is, and end up being more listenable than some of the tracks that follow. The mix of birds and music on "Barril de Chop," "Bacarola," and "El Choclo" is jarring and does neither any favors, although "Olhos Negros (Com Canto de Canarios)" and "Canarios Acomp. Trestessel de Chopin (Opus 10 No. 3)" work a little better, if only for their kitsch value. Campy, yet not quite campy or interesting enough to rank with the best exotica, Bird Songs of the Amazon Rain Forest is a puzzling artifact.
