AllMusic Review by

Tsunami exceed the indie pop sound/scene, signifying more. A little dissonance gets thrown into the usual Tsunami pot here, a repining bass, a circling guitar line, and some fine dynamics; as it suddenly enlarges at the end into a blown-up passage, Jenny Toomey and Kristin Thomson wonder, with pent-up bafflement and defeat, "Why do you want to be like that?" The B-side, "Newspaper," is also nicely chaste for a while, blowing cool and meditative ("f*ck the plot, the book's already written"), but again bursting into sour-anger bursts as the guitars quadruple in volume, only to return to the faint ambience. A band grows in Arlington, replete with music as intelligent as its lyrics.
