This EP from the Grammy-nominated duo arrives a year after the Civil Wars announced to the world that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus. Comprising stripped-down renditions of standout tracks from their eponymous 2013 sophomore long-player, the appropriately titled Bare Bones finds Joy Williams and John Paul White doing what they do best, picking and harmonizing. Willfully raw and unfussy, highlights from the six-song set include dusty takes of signature cuts like "The One That Got Away" and "I Had Me a Girl," and a soulful and languid rendition of "Dust to Dust."
