Gerry & the Pacemakers were more than a one-hit wonder, but many casual fans of the British Invasion wil only remember a handful of their songs -- "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying," "How Do You Do It?" and "It's Gonna Be Alright." Freddie & the Dreamers, on the other hand, were the virtual definition of a one-hit wonder; they had one big hit, "I'm Telling You Now," followed by four lesser hits -- "You were Made for Me," "I Understand (Just How You Feel)," "A Little You" and the immortal dance craze "Do the Freddie" -- that barely made an impression at the time, although they do sound like fun artifacts now. Gerry and Freddie's hits may have been few, but they make for a good Back 2 Back Hits disc, since both artists are represented by five tracks apiece on this compilation. True fans of either group will likely want comprehensive collections concentrating on individual artists, but this disc is ideal for budget-minded casual fans who just want these particular hits on one disc.
