AllMusic Review by

Former Pigbag and Monochrome Set vocalist Angela Jaeger of New York teamed up with the London producer and composer David Cunningham for this ambient/experimental pop recording. Featuring the extraordinary drumming on former This Heat percussionist Charles Hayward, the tracks featuring his drum patterns are outstanding and worthy of owning the collection alone. The mixture of effects derived from slowed-down tapes, loops, and simple electronic treatments balanced with composed and improvised themes coalesce in dense harmonic drones, with Angela Jaeger's voice providing free melodic explorations which float above the rich harmonic sound bed provided by multi-instrumentalist Cunningham. Of the 15 tracks that make up this exquisite collection, standouts are "A Silver Thread," "Beyond That Star," "Blue Gold Seven," and "Time Can Make a Difference." Recommended to fans of ambient minimalism and the quirky new wave excursions of David Cunningham's former group, the Flying Lizards
