The follow-up to one of LDS music's all-time best is no disappointment. Steven Kapp Perry held off for 11 years before releasing the sequel to From Cumorah's Hill, and it's difficult to dispute that the wait was worth it. More choral and orchestral masterpieces rise from this poignant reflection on the themes of the Book of Mormon. Most of the same voices on From Cumorah's Hill appear again, giving the second album a genuine connection to the first one. The only thing this one lacks that the first one had is a take-away hit like "I Never Stand Alone." Still, the testimonies run deep, and are conveyed majestically through powerful orchestrations. "I Wish I'd Been a Witness" stands out, with a fervent yearning to have been present when the resurrected Lord appeared to the people in America. You'll also notice a lack of interludes, making this album shorter and tighter.
