Although "Imagination," the other single off A Little Madness to Be Free (at least in France), is another great record by a band that has done no wrong for a decade, the much better and smarter buy is the Australian-only Angels EP. Not only for the big-sounding remakes of the A-side cut, which might even beat the LP version (with similar blaring horns and a chorus you can't get out of your head for weeks on end, so it was really worth re-recording; both versions are great), and "Don't Send Me Roses" from the older Monkey Puzzle days, but mostly to have 1984's best single, and one of the great songs of our generation, "Ghost Ships," on that magical 12" quality. It's like inviting a Philharmonic rock/blues band to your living room. If you've still not heard this song, it means you are missing one of the true watershed orchestral pop moments in the history of rock music.
