AllMusic Review by

You have to read the small print on the cover of this CD to realize that it is a various-artists album, not one made up entirely of Hank Williams recordings. Actually, Williams is heard on four of the 13 tracks, along with three each by Rose Maddox and Molly O'Day, two by the Osborne Brothers, and one by Tompall and the Glaser Brothers (whose name is misspelled on the album jacket). Williams' renditions of songs like "Why Don't You Love Me?" and "You Win Again" are classic, of course; the rest are mediocre. At a running time of 33½ minutes, the album's brevity more than justifies the discount price. But even sold cheaply, this isn't a good way to get a sense of Hank Williams.
