AllMusic Review by

The original soundtrack to Anjelica Huston's Agnes Browne, a comedy about an Irish widow trying to raise a large family, features original music composed by Paddy Moloney, new music by the Chieftains, and classics from Tom Jones. The Irish Film Orchestra performs Moloney pieces like "Marion's Lament," while the Chieftains team up with Laura Smith on "My Bonnie" and Montserrat Caballe on "The Last Rose of Summer." Jones contributes "She's a Lady," "Delilah," and "It's Not Unusual." Derek Bell's harp version of "My Bonnie" and the Fleadh Cowboys' "Puttin' on the Style" are two other highlights from this charming, distinctive collection of film music.
