AllMusic Review by

70s Heavy Hitters: Arena Rockers 1975-1979 is a better-than-average single disc highlighting album rock staples made popular during those four years. Along with a few of the tried-and-true radio classics by Ted Nugent ("Cat Scratch Fever"), Bachman-Turner Overdrive ("You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet"), and Foghat ("Slow Ride") are less-than-obvious inclusions by Triumph ("Lay It on the Line"), Joe Walsh ("Turn to Stone"), and Nazareth ("Hair of the Dog"). These original recordings are recommended along with the companion volume 70s Heavy Hitters: Arena Rockers 1970-1974.
