AllMusic Review by

Although there are five separate groups who contribute tracks to 30 en 2: Exitos Duranguenses, it's just two of them (Conjunto Amanecer and los Originales de Durango) who actually play the vast majority of the 30 songs (the other bands, Ralea de Durango, Cupido de Durango, and Alacrán de Durango wrangle in a total of eight all together). But as both Conjunto Amanecer and los Originales de Durango are capable ranchera bands, the fact that they take up so much of the album isn't a problem. The quality of the recordings on 30 en 2: Exitos Duranguenses is good, and the accordion is plentiful, but the fact that modern keyboard and synthesizer elements appear (oftentimes instead of actual trumpets) can get irritating rather quickly, especially if one is looking for a more authentic ranchera compilation.
