Jennifer Juniper

Song Review by

Written for Jenny Boyd (sister of George Harrison's wife), this effortlessly beautiful ballad provided Donovan with yet another Top Ten U.S. hit. A sprightly, cherry jazz-folk tempo carries the tune, which has elements of Irish and classical music. Lyrically, the song is sung in a charming, almost childlike tone, as if the singer is trying to tame a beautiful, wild animal. Capturing all of the innocence of the era perfectly, it's one of his finest singles.
