EE Char's Album Reviews

This daring debut has scintillating highs and very few averages. Awesome opener killer closer and all-time classic with tobacco road. Rise to Fall and A Different Game would be jazz on many LP's. Entrance is severely underrated in the pantheon of classic rock

Clever, fun classic rock here with progressive leanings. This LP is a true obscure lost classic 70's rock fans will devour

This record has slowly become an all time favorite in my collection. Instrumental quasi soundtrack tracks mingle with beautiful pop compositions to form a powerful whole that feels as organic as produce from the local farmers market. Before I ever really sunk my teeth into this album I had listened to Checking In, Checking Out repeatedly and it remains a standout among the beauties on this classic. This flows like fine wine at a mobsters convention and will remain a highlight in my collection forever

Nice no frills early 80 s rock, great for a BBQ or party. Ry Cooder said multiple times David was the best slide player out there - if that means anything to you you should probably try this out

Tight extended grooves featuring funky guitar and punchy horns. Hubert Laws adds distinct color with his flute

Essential German drone prog. Some will surely be turned off by the samey nature of all the tunes but those who sink their teeth will be rewarded handsomely.

Synth atmospheres with an experimental edge. Disparate styles mingle to form a vastly coherent whole. If you're looking for bombastic guitar driven progressive rock you'll only find a little bit here. If you're more on the adventurous side Nude just may become a masterpiece in your collection. An outstanding album.

Gorgeous George is a stylish, off the beaten path slice of pop heaven from an underrated master. Terrific cover, awesome opening, a catchy edgy hit single and excellent ending. Maybe one or two songs too long is my only quibble, but this was the 90's and beggars can't be choosers.

Funk masterpiece of the highest merit-this could be the dark side of the moon of jazzfunk
