Born to a Romanian mother and an Israeli father, Toronto singer/ songwriter Tsufit lived in 3 different countries before the age of five. Shy as a teen, she overcame performance anxiety and developed a confident on stage presence which led to steady work as a television actress. Tsufit earned a law degree along the way to becoming a world music songstress and folk guitarist whose music is steeped in Hebrew and Middle Eastern tradition with generous amounts of modern, feminine sensibility. Her first recording, Under the Mediterranean Sky, was released in early 1999.
