The Smokin' Bananas were an El Paso band recorded by C. L. Milburn in 1967 for his fledgling Sea Ell Records label. They were obviously very heavily influenced by the Beatles, not only in their heavy reliance on harmony vocals but their relatively upbeat sound and songs ("What A Day For Sunshine," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow." Those songs were more successful than their attempts at a heavier, more serious and negative outlook on numbers like "The Blues Room."
