Artist Biography by

Formed in July 1994 by Jeff Hateley (bass), Jason Edwards (guitar) and Steve "Danger" Elliott (drums), this UK rock outfit from Tamworth, Staffordshire, evolved from their former band, Wolfsbane. The departure of Blaze Bayley to replace Bruce Dickinson in Iron Maiden had finally brought an end to Wolfsbane. Jez was brought in on bass as Hately moved to vocals and guitar. They quickly embarked on recording over a double album's worth of material from which came their first demo. The sound was rooted firmly in the "popcore" tradition of Mega City Four and the Senseless Things, rather than the ragged rock 'n' roll with which Wolfsbane had been so readily associated. Despite showing early promise, the band had fallen apart by the end of the year. (NB: Not to be confused with the 70s UK band of the same name led by Elmer Gantry.)
