Artist Biography by

Argentina’s premier rock band, Soca Stéreo are led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Gustavo Cerati, alongside Zeta (bass) and Charly Alberti (drums). After establishing themselves as a national attraction through their demonstrative, energetic live shows, in 1993 they signed a million-dollar contract with BMG Argentina. This resulted in the release of their seventh album, Sueno Stéreo, two years later. Recorded in Buenos Aires and London, it included the hit single ‘Ella Usó Mi Cabeza Como Un Revólver’, alongside other expertly crafted pop rock material addressing local and national issues. It was dedicated to the memory of Zeta’s son, who was killed in a car crash in 1994, partly accounting for the delays in the album’s completion.
