This all-black rock band, comprising Richard Martin (vocals), Steve Wellington (guitar), Steve Liburd (bass) and Johann James (drums), was formed in London, England, in 1994, and rose to prominence in 1995 as support act on Body Count’s UK tour. Their uncompromising rock sound was reminiscent of both Anthrax and Red Hot Chili Peppers. They performed at an anti-racist carnival on Plumstead Common, London, near the headquarters of the extreme right-wing British National Party. Further supports with Crown Of Thorns and Skunk Anansie followed, before they embarked on their first recording sessions.
