The Houston-based duo of Schrasj got together in 1995 between the husband and wife collaboration of Gram Lebron and Terri Loewenthal. With Lebron moonlighting between this band and his pop-punk project Jessica Six, Schrasj takes more of an indie approach that looks up to the experimentation of Chicago-based instrumentalists Tortoise and the Sea and the Cake. After one demo, a handful of 7" EPs, and a divorce between Loewenthal and Lebron, the duo continued to write and record together. By 1997, 76.2% Records released Schrasj's first self-titled full-length, which was followed by the album F two years later.
