Houston-based band with a cool, provocative name and a sound built around a pleasing, jangling 12-string guitar, similar to the Byrds, except they played harder and their drummer was obviously kicking the hell out of his kit. Satyn's Children's line-up included an organist who also could dominate the group's sound on "Turn Me Away," which has much more of a typical garage punk edge, similar to the Music Machine at their heaviest. The harmonies, based on the recorded evidence (a pair of demos cut for Sea Ell Records), weren't much, but these boys almost made up for it in enthusiasm. "Should I Cry" vaguely resembles the Searchers' "What Have The Done to the Rain."
